Accounting Specialist - Corporate Finance
What you'll be doing
- Consulting / Analyzing on complex assignments and / or projects.
- Preparing, recording, analyzing, and reporting complex accounting transactions and ensuring the integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy and compliance with accepted accounting policies and principles
- Identifying accounting issues / concerns and recommending mitigation solution(s) to management.
- Ensuring the integrity of complex accounting records for completeness, accuracy and compliance with accepted accounting policies and principles, and complying with internal controls and SOX.
- Developing complex processes to ensure internal controls and SOX compliance and providing ongoing assessment of effectiveness.
- Obtaining input from appropriate management before making external statements or providing information that could impact the corporation.
- Conducting quality assurance checks on their journal entries and post to General Ledger Accounts.
- Carrying out duties in compliance with all state and federal regulations and guidelines. Complying with all company and site policies and procedures.
- Remaining current in profession and industry trends.
- Making a positive contribution as demonstrated by : Making suggestions for improvement, Learning new skills, procedures, and processes.
What we’re looking for
Must-haves :
- 2 - 3 Years of experience in accounting that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position
- 4 Year / Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's)
- Apply concepts such as probability, statistics, modeling, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical solutions.
- Works with mathematical concepts such as averages and / or variances.
- Evaluate trends in data or information.
- Ability to analyze information and evaluate the implications of a course of action or solution.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret both internal and external documents such as general media / publications, professional journals, technical procedures, governmental regulations, policies, proposals, and standard operating procedures.
- Demonstrated strong relationship management skills with internal clients ( management, peers and colleagues); proven ability to develop collaborative approaches.
- Demonstrates excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and multi-task while maintaining strict attention to detail.
- Strong project management skills including, critical ability to coordinate and balance multiple projects in a time-sensitive environment, under pressure, and meeting deadlines.
- Confident, comfortable communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Nice-to-haves :
CPA is strongly preferred

Pay Range : $53,500 - $92,500 Actual base pay could vary based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role.
The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual.
Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
