Job description

Overview

IT Technical Support with a focus on Microsoft technologies and cross-functional IT services. The role requires hands-on support for Windows 10 / 11, Office 365, AD, networking, VOIP, and related hardware / software, with a customer-oriented approach in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • IT Support services / administration for Microsoft related technologies : Office 365, Hyper-V, Windows Server, Active Directory, Antivirus, Teams, Cisco VOIP phones, printers, VPN, and related systems.
  • Provide technical services and support at the network level : WAN and LAN connectivity, security.
  • Line of business application support for all client environments.
  • System documentation and consulting services including system reviews and recommendations.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Tools used daily : O365 / Teams, Sophos Security Suite, Windows 10 / 11, Windows Server and macOS, ITSM software, VOIP phones, network switches, VPN.
  • Install and configure computer hardware (monitors, keyboards, docking stations, phones).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software and network connectivity issues.
  • Interpersonal skills : telephony, communication, active listening, customer care, and vendor coordination to resolve issues.
  • Technical awareness : ability to match resources to technical issues.
  • Service awareness of the organization's key IT services.
  • Understanding of support tools and techniques and how technology is used to provide IT services.
  • Ability to work in a fast-moving environment and prioritize tasks / projects.
  • Natural problem solver; ability to learn new technologies and share knowledge with teammates.
  • Self-motivated, self-starter, and able to self-manage.
  • Document and review new / existing processes and procedures.
  • Cisco VOIP phone system and Cisco switch administration.
  • Microsoft Copilot, D365 / F&O, and Power BI experience.
  • ShareFile administration.
  • Education and Work Experience

  • BA / BS, preferably in computer science, or a 2-year degree with 2+ years of experience.
  • Professional IT Certifications : A+, Cisco CCNA, Microsoft MCP, MCSA, MCSE, or equivalent.
