We are currently accepting applications for the following position :

Aquatics Manager

Recreation & Community Programs

Salary : $25.00 / Per hour

Hours : Varies by Season

Responsibilities :

Oversees the day to day operations at the Lexington Town Pool. Ensures adequate staff

coverage, supervises and evaluates all aquatics staff.

• Supports the department with staff onboarding and facilitates weekly staff in-services.
• Manages group swim lessons.
• Monitors chlorine levels and conducts regular water tests.
• Enforces safety rules, regulations and inclusion practices.
• Performs facility and custodial work as needed and other related duties as assigned.
• Provides support at the Old Reservoir as needed.
• Communicates with the Therapeutic Recreation Specialist to support program participants as

needed.

Works under the direction and supervision of the Aquatics Supervisor and Recreation

Supervisor.

Early mornings, nights and weekend required.

Qualifications :

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Current Red Cross Lifeguard Training Certification or YMCA Lifeguard Certification (includes

Standard First Aid Certificate, or Community First Aid and Safety Certificate)

Current American Red Cross CPR Certificate for the Professional Rescuer or American Heart

Association CPR Certificate for the Health Care Provider

• Current Water Safety Instructor (WSI) Certification
• Previous experience working at aquatic facilities / waterfront facility as a supervisor preferred
• Experience with staff management and supervisory skills
• Ability to resolve any issues with either the public or staff
• Ability to foster an inclusive environment for patrons and staff
