Role Overview

The Sales Assistant, Tmall & International position will report into the Senior Account Executive, International. This role is responsible for supporting all administrative and operational needs of STAUD's Tmall and international business by partnering cross-functionally with internal teams as well as external teams based in China.

Essential Duties

• Oversee and maintain all retailer product master files, VPI and copy requests. Communicate cross-functionally to obtain accurate details and provide within deadlines set.
• Support the Sales team with the processing, maintenance, and organization of purchase orders via Joor and Full Circle. Liaise with DTC, PR and Marketing to ensure assortments / orders align with overall company strategy.
• Update and analyze fiscal and style selling reports on a weekly, monthly and seasonal basis. Identify opportunities to drive business and recap findings to sales team and retailers.
• Assist Account Executive on daily communication and inquiries via email and phone.
• Manage weekly inventory reports and highlight suggested increases / reorders to sales team and clients. Process reorders, SWAP, RTV and CM requests.
• Liaise with the Operations and Finance team to ensure timely delivery of product, secure payment from clients and provide excellent customer service.
• Manage all sample requests and trafficking. Partner with internal teams to secure samples for Tmall and wholesale business needs.
• Support Sales team during seasonal market appointments with retail buyers and daily showroom maintenance. Learn to effectively lead market appointments independently.
• Lead appointment outreach and work closely with Senior Account Executive on new client targeting strategies. Collaborate with sales and cross-functional teams to compile and maintain all market assets / materials and business recaps.
• Support with preparation of presentations and decks related to sales and merchandising.
• Work cross functionally with the PR and marketing team to manage all Tmall creative assets. Communicate weekly site plan with internal creative teams for approval and collect all required assets and revert to Tmall email with these updates.
• Prepare for and attend weekly meetings with Tmall / China partners. Lead note taking and send recap with action items to relevant teams.

Prerequisite Knowledge, Skills, and Education

• 2-3 years experience in an Ecommerce or Wholesale sales support or internship role, or equivalent educational experience.
• Fluency in Mandarin or proficiency in business Mandarin is a must.
• Highly personable and enthusiastic about product.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to follow up along with competent presentation skills.
• Must be thorough and detail oriented.
• Previous experience with Joor, Nuorder and / or Full Circle is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) O365 is a plus.
• Ability to multitask, organize, and prioritize work.
• An interest in China e-commerce / international retail is a requirement, and any applicable experience or education is a plus.
