Business Operations Coordinator

This position is national remote. You'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in Minneapolis, Virginia, Maryland, or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office for a minimum of four days per week. The Business Operations Coordinator position will handle day-to-day administrative tasks that support our medical record retrieval business. While administrative in nature, there will be some light phone work required. Individuals best suited for this position should have a private workspace set up for handling protected health information and be self-motivated to remain productive in a remote environment. Day-to-day job functions may vary depending on business needs. This position is full time. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8 : 00 am - 5 : 00 pm EST. We offer 1-2 weeks of paid on-the-job training and the hours during training will be 8 : 00 am - 5 : 00 pm EST from Monday - Friday.

Primary Responsibilities :

  • Invoice review
  • Data entry
  • Approve invoices based on specific business rules
  • Coordination and communication with provider offices

Required Qualifications :

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Must be 18 years of age OR older
  • Administrative work history
  • Attention to detail
  • Microsoft Excel skills including v-lookups and pivot tables
  • Ability to work any of our full time, shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8 : 00 am - 5 : 00 pm EST
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience with working in medical record collection
  • Experience with provider groups, health information management, OR claims processing
  • Knowledge of US healthcare system
  • Computer skills with an emphasis on Microsoft Excel
  • Telecommuting Requirements :

  • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
  • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
  • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service
  • All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $16.00 - $27.69 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
