Government Property Manager
Job Description :
GDIT is seeking an experienced government property manager to oversee a multi-site, 10-person team responsible for the end-to-end accountability of our government customer’s property.
This role is responsible for administering government property and assets in accordance with contract requirements, approved procedures, and government regulations.
Work includes maintaining property lifecycle, managing, monitoring, and tracking property; creating and maintaining property accountability records;
conducting property audits; and developing and modifying process and procedures. The ideal candidate does not shy from the physical aspects of this role and leans in to learn and perform all property lifecycle tasks.
Position is onsite in Sterling, VA (3 days a week) and Springfield, VA (2 days a week).
- Manages the staff and activities of government property and assets from acquisition through receiving, tagging, inventory, relief of stewardship, reporting, and contract closeout
- Advanced knowledge of property administration including ordering, processing, shipping, receiving, material handling, and property accountability to ensure holistic compliance to customer and contractual requirements.
- Identifies and implements process efficiencies and removes roadblocks to the administration and lifecycle of government property and assets from acquisition through receiving, tagging, inventory, relief of stewardship, reporting, and contract closeout.
- Facilitates a seamless warranty management and repair process to reduce the total cost of ownership of assets.
- Executes all required physical inventories, cycle counting, reconciliation, and related reporting for assigned inventory and materials.
- Understanding of financial management policies, processes, and procedures as it relates to the accountability and valuation of government property.
- Manages, coaches, and guides a team that spans multiple disciplines throughout an asset’s lifecycle.
- Utilize GDIT and government supply chain tools to execute accurate and timely transactions related to government property assigned.
- Qualifications :
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 10+ years of related experience in government property management, experience with Dept of State desired
- Comprehensive knowledge of property administration including ordering, processing, shipping, receiving, material handling, and property accountability
- Proven track record of leading larger teams
- Effective administrative, supervisory, and organizational skills
- Desired : Holds an active CPPS certification (or higher)
- Secret clearance (or higher) strongly preferred but will consider sponsoring for clearance
- Experience with ERP, WMS, and other supply chain applications; experience with Oracle SCM, Blue Yonder WMS and CMMS preferred

The likely salary range for this position is $116,979 - $143,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
