Status : Full-Time Hourly FLSA Classification : Non-Exempt
Summary of Position : Cost Accountant applies the principles of cost accounting to provide detailed expense and revenue information beyond what is supplied by the general ledge.
- Prepare and analyze cost reports and correctly interpret the financial compliance requirements in contract guidelines.
- Develop reliable and timely forecast budgets as required and communicate findings to internal departments and program staff.
- Issue invoices supported by interpretation of contract requirements and schedules, data, and analysis.
- Expertly navigate multiple software systems, applications, and portals to support objectives.
- Continuously evaluate and improve processes to achieve efficiency and accuracy
- Support cost accounting work using Microsoft Excel tools.
Qualifications / Requirements :
Associates degree in Accounting and / or 2-4 years of directly related experience.Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is general preferred.2 -4 years of experience in cost accounting or financial analysisProficiency in Microsoft OfficeStrong Excel skills and familiarity with accounting softwareStrong analytical, organizational, and communication skillsExperience in non-profit sectors a plus.Benefits Available :
