TDF Program Coordinator
The Accelerator Internal Funding Program is a program within the Technology Innovation and Development Office (TIDO) dedicated to transforming high-impact academic technologies into validated, later-stage opportunities sought by industry partners and investors. The program provides access to early- to later-stage funds, to advisors and mentors with product discovery and development expertise, to a network of contract research organizations, to project management at industry standards and to business development network and expertise. Technologies supported by the Accelerator Internal Funding Program range from therapeutics and devices, to diagnostics and vaccines in both pediatric and adult indications. In collaboration with the Accelerator's Scientific Project Manager, the Program Coordinator runs activities and functions of the Accelerator Internal Funding Program to ensure that goals and objectives specified for the Program are accomplished in accordance with established priorities, time limitations, funding limitations or other specifications. The Program Coordinator reports to the Accelerator's Senior Director.
Key Responsibilities :
- Coordinates activities and daily operations of the Accelerator Internal Funding program.
- Provides BCH faculty and researchers, and potential collaborators information about facilities, services and activities in or outside the hospital.
- Assists inventors with preparation of proposals for funding and / or funding continuation from the Accelerator or from outside sponsors.
- Confers with and advises staff and others to provide technical advice, problem solving assistance, answers to questions raised throughout the development of a funded project.
- Prepares periodic reports and records on the Accelerator Internal Funding program activities, progress, status or other special reports for management or outside agencies.
- Assists in evaluation of program effectiveness to develop improved methods.
- Plans workshops, meetings or conferences; coordinates logistics, scheduling and participant communications.
- Interacts and maintains liaison with staff, faculty and outside / community agencies in facilitating program objectives.
- Organizes meetings with internal and external stakeholders to evaluate the proposals.
- Plans the agenda and generates content for the meetings.
- Generates, updates and maintains the Accelerator Internal Funding program databases.
- Maintains metrics to monitor performance of the Accelerator Internal Funding program.
Minimum Requirements :
Education : Bachelors Degree in Administration, Life sciences or other relevant area preferredExperience : 1-3 years in life science sectorExperience and understanding of academic research, academic medical centers, and the life science and medical device industries.Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and provide empathy in difficult interpersonal situations.Ability to work with diverse internal and external constituencies.Team player who is able to function effectively in a highly complex organizational environment but also able to work independently with minimal supervision.Strong organizational, time and project management skills; attention to detail; problem-solving skills; and the ability to handle multiple tasks, set priorities, and meet deadlines.Office / Site Location : Boston
