Private Client Associate (Tampa)

We are representing an established Florida firm seeking a Private Client Associate to join its Trusts & Estates group.

Private client work is a core part of the firm's practice, and the group is well regarded in its market. This is a strong opportunity for an attorney with a transactional private client practice who wants a clear path to shareholder in a firm that rewards individual contribution. The group advises high-net-worth individuals, families, business owners and fiduciaries on sophisticated planning.

The mandate is specifically looking for a candidate with experience in estate planning and tax-efficient wealth transfer strategies, spanning estate and gift tax, closely held business and succession planning, and asset protection.

Requirements:

• Florida Bar admittance, in good standing
• 3+ years of demonstrated experience in sophisticated private client matters involving trusts, estates and tax-driven planning
• Transactional experience in a private client context (entity structuring, business succession, buy-sell arrangements, closely held business planning)
• Solid grounding in Florida and federal tax law as it applies to estate and gift planning
• Excellent technical, professional and client service skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Team-oriented, with an emphasis on collaboration
• Effective, proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
• Interest in building a book of business and growing toward a shareholder role
