At Omnia Healthcare Group, the Financial Coordinator is a critical member of our Finance team. This individual has great attention to detail and consistently meets deadlines each month.
Financial Coordinator Duties and Responsibilties :
- Ensure accuracy of ancillary posting, AP invoice reconciliation and payment amount to vendor by 10th of the month.
- Assist in the review of month-end closing reports prior to final approval.
- Manage Vendor contracts, pricing accuracy and compliance with terms and conditions.
- Ensure accuracy of invoices under Consolidated billing prior to submission for payment.
- Manage reconciliation of RFMS accounts- Resident Trust, Petty Cash and Care Cost by the 15th of the month.
- Ensure all monthly reports from facility Business Office are received and focus review on Medicaid Pending logs and monthly Private review file.
- Ensure accuracy of documentation and quarterly reconciliation of Medicare Part-A Co-insurance for Cost report.
- Data analysis of outstanding AR and partner with VP of Revenue Cycle on reporting to improve cash flows.
- Partner with VP of Revenue Cycle and Team Leads on compliance, Medicaid integrity, and bank audits.
- Completion of special projects assigned.
- Ensure all Vendor invoices are received within the 1st week of the month and assist follow-ups with vendor if not received by the 1st week of the month.
- Assist in the review of the month-end closing by the 12th of the month.
- Review AP vendor invoices Reconciliation, corresponding batch ancillary posting in PCC and amount of invoice to be paid by the 10th of the month.
- Assist in the review of the month-end closing by the 12th of the month.
- Review of Medicaid / Private Part -A co-insurance write-offs for accuracy and completed supporting documentation. Submit semiannual reconciliation of the Cost Report excel file and General Ledger totals.
- Assist in monthly review of aging, analysis, identifying issues and ensure all collection steps are undertaken for Private / Patient Liability / Medicaid pending and Hospice accounts.
- Assist in monthly review Medicaid Pending logs received from the facility and coordinate with AR and Business Office for accounts with approvals and census line is not updated as well as for any issues.
- Review and ensure completion of RFMS bank account reconciliation and coordinate with AR and Business Office.
- Audit RFMS on compliance with surety bond, balance maintenance and coordinate with AR and Business Office.
- Maintain Vendor master file and ensure accurate pricing, adjustments and discounts are given and reflected on the invoice.
- Review pricing for invoices under consolidated billing and follow-up with Business Office for Administrator’s pre-approval on invoices $500 and higher.
- Assist in gathering supporting documentation and analysis during audits.
- Assist in filling in team member as needed.
All other duties, as assigned.
Financial Coordinator Requirements / Skills :
- Ability to multi-task
- Excellent customer service.
Financial Coordinator Education and Experience
- At least three years of work experience in the healthcare industry working in an account receivable, billing, or collections role.
- Associate's degree in Accounting background, preferred.
- Proficient in Point Click Care and Microsoft Excel and Word.
