Finance Manager

Centurisk provides risk management software and related services for State Departments of Risk Management and Public Sector Risk Pools to manage property data and insurance values, insurance claims, insurance policies, certificates of insurance, underwriting, and loss control.

The Centurisk Finance Manager will have overall responsibility for ensuring the timely closing of monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting activities and preparation of the financial statements.

The Finance Manager is expected to collaborate closely with leadership to help them understand the financial performance of their teams and the Company overall.

Job Responsibilities :

• Responsible for the daily accounting functions, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Cash Management, Invoicing, Revenue Recognition and Expense Report processing.
• Create, review, and record journal entries and monthly reconciliations.
• Manage intercompany transactions with other related corporate entities.
• Work with the CEO and Department Leads to finalize, deliver, and present the company's quarterly forecasts, with a goal of + / - 5% forecast accuracy.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPI) for all departments and overall VBUs. Monthly communication of financial performance is expected including the creation of scorecards and other reports.

This will include aspects of the business such as Growth, Profitability, Bookings, Backlog, Attrition, etc.

• Ensuring compliance with necessary accounting principles (US GAAP, IFRS, etc.).
• Review significant customer RFP responses and quotes and provide insight on pricing, as well as review of final customer contracts to assess accounting impact in accordance with relevant accounting principles.
• Review, adjust and maintain a strong Finance internal control environment.
• Oversight of the company treasury and cash forecasting process.
• Assistance to and ad-hoc assignments from the CEO.
• Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work and can be trusted to prioritize independently.
• Some travel may be required. Candidate must be able to travel globally.

Education and Experience :

• An accounting diploma or equivalent is ideal.
• CPA or other relevant qualification is a plus but not necessary.
• A thorough understanding of US GAAP for Software Revenue is ideal, as well as an understanding of IFRS 15 and 16.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel are a must.
• Excellent organization, communication, time management, prioritization, and interpersonal skills.
• History of developing and improving internal controls.
• Adaptable and flexible to changing demands in a growing business.
• Experience with financial statements, financial analysis, and audits is a plus.
• Experience with Percent of Completion revenue recognition is a plus.
• Experience with systems such as Great Plains, Salesforce, and OpenAir is beneficial.
• Minimum 5 years of experience at a private or public company and / or in public accounting audit.
