Job Opportunity : AP Specialist

Location : Kingston (On-site)

Salary Range : $49,920 - $54,080 DOE

Our client, a mission-driven organization in the Pacific Northwest, is seeking an experienced AP Specialist to join their finance team. Overview of the Accounts Payable Specialist Role :

  • Handle full-cycle accounts payable, including high-volume invoice processing, coding, and payment runs (checks, ACH, wires).
  • Verify purchase orders and match with invoices to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal controls.
  • Reconcile vendor accounts, resolve discrepancies, and maintain strong vendor relationships.
  • Support account management by tracking recurring charges, billing, and assisting with month-end close and reporting.

    • Preferred Qualification for the Accounts Payable Specialist :

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience also considered
  • Solid background in accounts payable or general accounting
  • Familiarity with full-cycle AP processes and vendor payment best practices
  • Experience using ERP systems like Great Plains (or similar) is a plus
  • Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
  • Confident reconciling accounts and resolving discrepancies
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-volume environments and meeting deadlines
