Posting Summary Functional Position Title ASSISTANT DIRECTOR - TOBACCO CONTROL INITIATIVE Position Number Appointment Type Regular Location-City New Orleans School / Division SCHOOL OF PUBLIC HEALTH Department Community Health Sci & Policy Position Summary Under the direction of the Tobacco Control Initiative (TCI) Program Director the incumbent will assist in establishing and maintaining cooperative agreements with public / private partnership hospital subcontractors, managing the provision of applied research project internally, setting the overall vision, mission, goals, objectives and strategies to establish, measuring and ensuring programmatic success, representing the program director at state and local level meetings and providing direct programmatic and administrative supervision, assist in maintaining policies and procedures related to staff and the program, provide direction to TCI field staff and students, assist with interpreting federal regulatory rules and guidelines as they relate to tobacco use and dependence treatment and assist the program director with collaborating the Louisiana Campaign for Tobacco Free Living.
