Human Resources Director I - IT & Talent Acquisition - Remote

BAE Systems is hiring a Human Resources Director who will support the office of our Chief Information Officer and lead the Talent Acquisition team supporting BAE Systems, Inc headquarter functions.

In this role, the Human Resources Director is responsible for strategizing, planning, organizing, and coordinating all aspects of HR Management, including the implementation of key activities related to succession planning, talent management, benefits, compensation, performance management, and high potential assessment and development for the IT organization. This role will own the HR strategy for the IT organization, identifying solutions and tackling the most pressing talent opportunities and challenges at a strategic level, successfully partnering with ESS leaders to create value for the business.

This role is pivotal to ensuring the organization's ability to create an inclusive, service-oriented culture, accelerate development for our employees, build people leader capability, forecast and develop our critical skills roadmap and implement solutions that result in a strong retention for our talent. This leader will also have responsibility for delivering Talent Acquisition support for the BAE Systems, Inc. headquarter functions, ensuring that the hiring needs across all Inc functional teams are met. This includes technical positions within the IT function as well as executive level positions across various functions. They will lead a team of recruiting professionals focused on identifying, attracting and hiring the best talent while creating a world class candidate experience. Additionally, this role will serve on the Enterprise TA Council and is expected to be a thought leader to help drive the enterprise TA strategy.

This position may be fully remote or hybrid with the understanding that travel will be required throughout the US based on the BAE Systems, Inc footprint.

Responsibilities :

  • Serve as a coach, strategic advisor and business partner to the sector senior leadership
  • Identify and develop key talent to grow the business, build current and future capability, and achieve long-term business success
  • Build relationships with business leaders to offer thought leadership on organizational and people-related strategy and execution
  • Execute HR strategies to progress the IT People Strategy and deliver value to the business
  • Understand the business strategy and identify opportunities to increase alignment with the strategy by helping business leaders identify, prioritize and build organizational capabilities, behaviors, structures and processes
  • Diagnose gaps between current and desired organization performance and deploy actions to resolve gaps, including organization redesign, process change, coaching and training
  • Analyze workforce trends to model and forecast future labor requirements to support senior leaders in workforce planning and succession management
  • Align performance management and reward strategies to reinforce an environment of dedication and innovation
  • Coach senior leaders to improve leadership abilities, relationships among teams / individuals and interpersonal communications, as well as deliver effective performance feedback
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders to foster trust and influence key decisions
  • Partner closely with sector Human Resources colleagues and leadership, as well as colleagues in the center of excellence and others across the company
  • Translate strategies into an executable plan that will help Sector leadership address key human capital needs that are directly related to the successful delivery of business outcomes and performance
  • Serve as a project manager, including strategizing, planning, organizing, and coordinating all aspects of Human Resources
  • Serve as a creative problem solver; formulate recommendations using data to clearly demonstrate the value of the solution
  • Must be results oriented and resilient, delivering consistent results while exhibiting behaviors in line with our BAE culture
  • Manage an experienced team of Talent Acquisition professionals that work together, leveraging best practices and regional expertise. Provide guidance, direction, and coaching; assess performance, provide feedback, and actively develop talent
  • Ensure that recruiting and hiring practices are compliant with all applicable local, state, and federal employment laws and OFCCP / EEOC guidelines

Required Education, Experience, & Skills :

  • Typically, a bachelor s degree and 12 years of experience, or Master s and 10 years experience or a PhD with 8 years experience or 14 years experience with an associate s degree or 16 years experience with a High school diploma.
  • Experience in Human Resources Management / Leadership
  • Experience in Strategic HR development and execution
  • Experience in Human Resources including succession planning, talent management, benefits, compensation, performance management, etc.
  • Clear, comprehensive understanding of the link between talent and other HR initiatives and business strategy as well as deep knowledge of HR policies, processes (e.g., workforce planning and talent management) and talent management practices
  • Ability to identify new ways for HR to support the business strategy and develop clear, actionable steps in support of the overall business strategy
  • Ability to synthesize large quantities of quantitative and qualitative data, recognize trends, tie back to business priorities and develop recommendations based on data analysis
  • Experience in Program / Project Management

  • Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills :

  • Graduate Degree
  • HR Certification
  • Experience working for a government defense contractor
  • Experience in a Talent Acquisition leadership role supporting a team of recruiters and recruiting managers with a focus on staffing a variety of positions across multiple functions.
  • Knowledge of talent acquisition fundamentals (TA technology suites, TA data & analytics, sourcing strategies, early careers, recruitment marketing)
  • Pay Information :

    Full-Time Salary Range : $135556 - $230444
