Qualifications :
Requires a minimum of two (2) years experience with records management, document control or library services. Familiarity with a digital information center, library or records center requirements and processes is also required.
Good data-entry and organizational skills are required. Good organizational and human relations skills as well as good verbal communication skills are required.
Additional skills include : Capable of indexing and sorting documents or records.
Responsibilities :
Functional responsibilities may include but are not limited to : analyzing and organizing information resources. Responds to customers seeking information about historical collections using both manual and automatic systems.
Applies established access controls to information holdings. Responsible for indexing and sorting active and inactive documents.
Additional responsibilities include : Works with paper and electronic content. Loads and indexes images in Documentum and CLM, performs quality checks on scanned images, responsible for indexing and sorting of new materials.
Applies established access controls to information holdings; and supporting records center projects. This position should also serve as "backup" to the General Indexer / Circulation position, Records Specialist II and the Information Technician / Scanning positions.
