Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- The equipment operator for grading operates and maintains various pieces of equipment. On occasion this position may deliver material outside of Sunrock facilities.
- Operates heavy equipment such as : bull dozer, excavator, roller, and backhoe.
- Read plans on site and check grade according to site plan.
- Operate / drive equipment to excavate, move, and grade earth, concrete, asphalt, or other hard surface pavement on road beds and dirt / earth surfaces in a safe manner.
- This position may perform other duties on the crew as needed.
- The operator is responsible for pre and post checks, daily maintenance, and keeping the equipment clean and ready for daily operation.
- Complete written report of problems or necessary repairs and forward to maintenance personnel. Detect and report improper operation, faulty equipment, defective materials, and unusual conditions to proper supervision.
- Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations.
Required Skills
Valid North Carolina Driver’s License is preferred.
Required Experiences
EXPERIENCE : Two (2) years of related experience and / or training.
