Security Installation Technician
Matson Alarm, a Pye-Barker company, is hiring for a Security Installation Technician in our Bakersfield, California location.
Position Summary : The Security Installation Technician's sole purpose is to serve customers by installing security systems properly and professionally.
Duties & Responsibilities :
- Manage the installation and service of security systems / equipment
- Conduct routine inspections, testing, service and preventative maintenance
- System testing and inspecting to the prescribed standards
- Install equipment according to safety code standards
- Provide on-site emergency troubleshooting and repairs of customer equipment
- Preparing accurate and timely service tickets and reports
- Ensure a high level of customer service, satisfaction, and communication
- Interface successfully with Administration, Sales, Customers, and Management
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment on and off site
- Maintain accurate record of work performed
- Ability to use a variety of hand tools
- Perform other duties as required
Education & Required Skills :
- High School Diploma
- 1+ years' experience in the alarm industry required
- Previous experience installing security systems preferred
- Ability to install, inspect, or service systems with minimum supervision
- Must be responsible, self-motivated, self-starter, personable and well organized
- Basic computer knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must read and speak English
- Current & valid Driver's License
- Must be able to obtain / possess alarm agent permit where applicable and according to Federal, State, and Municipal laws
