Vice President Of Content & Acquisitions
FOX Entertainment Global is seeking a Vice President of Content & Acquisitions to source and acquire third-party programming across scripted, unscripted, formats, film, and kids & family content for global distribution out of the US. Reporting to the SVP, based in Los Angeles, the Vice President of Content & Acquisitions is responsible for identifying and executing content acquisition opportunities primarily out of the US, with flexibility to expand or contract markets and genres as the business evolves.
This is a senior role that combines creative sourcing, deal-making, and internal FOX studio stakeholder management, while working cross-functionally with teams across sales, marketing, legal, operations, finance, and strategy. The ideal candidate is commercially savvy, well-connected, collaborative, and passionate about premium global content.
A Snapshot Of Your Responsibilities
- Source and negotiate third-party content acquisition opportunities across all genres, with a core focus on the US market, supporting FOX's global content distribution strategy
- Deliver on the content strategy as defined by senior management, identifying titles that align with FOX's brand, audience, and commercial objectives
- Collaborate with FOX Studios, Network, and FOX-owned partners to identify internal pipeline opportunities and strengthen rights exploitation globally and across the wider business
Partnership & Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with producers, studios, agents, rights holders, and financiers across the regionServe as the primary point of contact for US-based FOX content partners, and manage ongoing communications, performance updates, and servicingWork closely with internal content executives to uncover regional opportunities and advance strategic initiativesCross-Functional Collaboration & Operational Excellence
Partner with legal, operations, and finance to support deal execution, contract lifecycle management, and investment modelingCollaborate on title launch plans and market debuts, ensuring timing aligns with key sales events and industry marketsEnsure content delivery is seamless and that rights holders and partners are serviced to the highest standard via the Distribution delivery department and studio operationsSales & Performance Integration
Provide regular updates and performance insights to content partners and internal stakeholdersContribute to investment planning and ROI analysis, working closely with the Finance team on revenue projections and deal evaluationSupport global sales teams by aligning acquired content with market demand. Ensure the global sales force is well-versed in the product portfolio and properly equipped to take content to market and maximize monetization opportunitiesIndustry Representation & Market Intelligence
Represent FOX at international markets and festivals (e.g., MIPCOM, Series Mania, Content London, NATPE, etc.), acting as a brand ambassador and identifying content and partnership opportunitiesMaintain a deep understanding of global trends, buyer needs, and competitive dynamics to inform future acquisitions and content planningWhat You Will Need
15+ years of experience in content acquisitions, sales, co-productions, or content strategyExperience evaluating complex acquisitions / distribution contractsStrong network of senior-level contacts across studios, producers, agents, financiers, and distributorsStrong alignment with FOX's creative values and brand voice; experience representing companies at a global levelAble to negotiate and close complex third-party acquisition dealsDeep understanding of rights management, windowing, and content monetization models across linear, AVOD, SVOD, and FAST ecosystemsSkilled in cross-functional collaboration with legal, finance, operations, and sales teamsExcellent communication, analytical, and strategic thinking skillsProactive problem-solver with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environmentFinancial fluency and comfort with deal modeling, ROI analysis, and sales performance metricsAbility and a passion for managing, mentoring, or guiding junior executivesWillingness to travel internationally and work overtime as neededNice To Have But Not A Dealbreaker
MBAPursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate / range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $180,000.00-250,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical / dental / vision insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
