Responsibilities :
- Media Relations Mastery : Leads by example in securing earned media, focusing on marquee feature stories in top national outlets and emerging media platforms, while driving the team to surpass annual KPIs to amplify brand recognition.
- Team Mentorship & Development : Supports the growth and advancement of staff through mentoring, development, and retention efforts.
- Client Engagement & Industry Expertise : Leverages industry expertise to anticipate client needs, becoming a trusted partner in their success, while proactively addressing opportunities and challenges with strategic solutions.
- Collaborative & Communicative : Partners with both with creative teams within Nike Communications, as well as external creative agencies on client initiatives.
- Strategic Counsel : Provides strategic guidance to clients, collaborating with agency partners to develop and execute impactful communication and creative campaigns, enhancing brand reputation and visibility.
- Brand Collaborations & Partnerships : Leads the ideation, execution, and recommendation of brand collaborations, partnerships, talent-led campaigns, and event strategies, leveraging creativity to resonate with key media and target audiences.
Qualifications :
Professional Experience : Minimum five years experience in PR and media relations in the consumer luxury lifestyle space;Account / Client Management : Minimum of 1 year of experience managing the day-to-day communications with clients and can comfortably lead meetings and correspondenceLeadership Skills : Minimum 1 year of experience mentoring and developing a team of at least two members, showcasing the ability to nurture talent and foster growth within a team environmentTrack Record of Success : Demonstrates a proven track record of delivering high-quality stories across various media platforms, highlighting effectiveness and impact in securing feature story coverageMedia Landscape Mastery : Possesses a comprehensive understanding of the media landscape, including print, online, broadcast and new-media (i.e. podcast) channels, enabling effective media outreach and engagementPassion & Industry Knowledge : Genuine enthusiasm and in-depth knowledge of Spirits, music, fashion, cultural events, emerging brands, and digital platforms, with a proven track record of delivering impactful stories across diverse media.Build & Maintain Lasting Relationships : Cultivates and maintains genuine relationships with top media outlets, fostering trust and mutual respect.
