As a Parts Cleaner, you’ll operate metal cleaning equipment such as deburrers and blast cabinets to remove excess paint, welds, rust, scale, and other material from surfaces of metal parts.
What you’ll do :
- Perform in process cleaning, air drying and buffing
- Immerse metal products in chemical cleaning and stripping solutions
- Prepare and masks surfaces prior to cleaning
- Prepare parts for non-destructive testing
- Clean and maintain cleaning tanks and equipment, monitors chemicals through titration checks
- Participate in continuous improvement of processes
- Cross trains in other complementary skills to support production requirements
- Observe all applicable safety requirements
Position Requirements :
- Ability to work in a non-climate controlled environment up to 90% of the average workday.
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds (unassisted) for approximately 75% of the average workday
