The  Kitchen Manager  is in charge of the overall operations for the kitchen area of a restaurant. They ensure the kitchen department runs smoothly and complies with safety regulations. Duties include ordering food, preparing menus, and monitoring staff. The ideal candidate will have proven culinary and management experience. In addition to being an excellent communicator, the Kitchen Manager should also demonstrate outstanding leadership and organizational abilities.

Activities & Responsibilities :

Promote, work, and act in a manner consistent with the core beliefs of Andy’s Pizza :

Lead the professional development of the culinary team.

Proactively recruit and hire to ensure appropriate staff levels.

Execute culinary-focused training programs for BOH and FOH team members.

Maintains processes that ensure BOH cleanliness and maintenance that ensures compliance with all local health department requirements.

Controls costs by monitoring and evaluating food, labor and operating expenses.

Maintains a collaborative process regarding menu development with the leadership team.

Handles and resolves all staff concerns and manages progressive discipline policies.

Overall responsibility for staff schedules and ensures adequate staffing for all service periods.

Maintain and develop relationships with our broad-line purveyors, as well as local and seasonal suppliers.

Consistently strives for self-improvement through education and industry research.

People :

Assess staffing needs and participate in the process of recruiting staff.

Schedule staff hours and assign duties.

Responsible for the onboarding and retention of Team Members through motivation, recognition, coaching and development

Be knowledgeable of restaurant policies regarding personnel

Administer prompt, fair and consistent corrective action for any and all violations of company policies, rules and procedures.

Review work procedures and operational problems to determine ways to improve service, performance, or safety.

Ensure compliance with all federal, state, county and municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety and labor requirements of the restaurant, employees, and guests.

Culinary Support :

Oversee Kitchen food preparation and cooking processes

Perform food preparation or service tasks, such as cooking, and serving food and drinks when necessary.

Test cooked food by tasting and smelling it to ensure palatability and flavor conformity.

Facilities :

Ensure the scheduled maintenance of BOH facility equipment is maintained on a regular basis

Available shifts and compensation : We have available shifts all days of the week. Compensation is $20.00 - $30.00 / hour.
