The Dairy Technical Manager, Western Region has the responsibility for providing education and support of the animal product portfolio to the animal nutrition team and clients.

Candidates must reside in Texas or California and support the Southwest US territory.

Essential Responsibilities :

• Assist in providing Milk Specialties Global (MSG) field technical strategy and be responsible for direction and implementation of strategic initiatives.
• Provide domestic and international technical support & innovation for all MSGAN product lines.
• Partner with key stakeholders, including MSG advisory council on updated research and innovation within the Animal Nutrition space.
• Develop a key influencer list that MSG should target and develop strong relationships with to facilitate MSG business.
• Assist in the development of new products by working closely with the R&D, Sales, and Marketing teams.
• Represent the MSGAN team and deliver presentations at industry and technical meetings.
• Develop technical articles, brochures, etc. as needed to support the business.
• Responsibility for market intel and pricing of fatty acid and AA products.
• Identify new technologies that MSG should focus.
• Innovate with key suppliers and stakeholders for new and / or improved product ideas.

Position Requirements :

• Master's degree required, Ph.D. in Ruminant Nutrition with expertise in dairy nutrition, management, and rumen microbiology preferred.
• 5+ years of experience, with strong industry experience in Animal Nutrition
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational, presentation, and analytical skills.
• Strong knowledge of computer software applications.
• Working knowledge of dairy formulation software programs (CNCPS platforms).
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities concurrently.
• Orientation for detailed work with emphasis on accuracy and completeness.
