Entry Level Civil/Mechanical Infrastructure Engineer

Overview

Carollo Engineers is an internationally recognized environmental engineering firm that specializes in the planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater facilities and infrastructure.

We are seeking an Entry Level Civil / Mechanical Infrastructure Engineer to help execute water and wastewater conveyance infrastructure projects, including pipelines and pump stations, for our Texas clients.

Responsibilities

• Performing engineering work in water and wastewater conveyance infrastructure
• Work on engineering planning and design projects
• Develop plans and specifications
• Prepare cost estimates for various water and wastewater projects
• System modeling and hydrauilc calculations
• Permitting and alternative analysis
• Preparation of technical memoranda, reports and electronic deliverables
• Data entry and analysis
• Provide engineering services during construction
• Participate in field activities such as alignment studies and site visits

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum academic requirements include coursework in hydraulics and principles of water and wastewater infrastructure design
• 0 to 4 years of directly-relevant experience in water and wastewater engineering
• Engineer-in-Training Certification
• Application of engineering principles including critical thinking, analysis, and innovative techniques
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Work well in a team environment
• Highly motivated, articulate, and self-starting
• Proficient in MS Word and Excel

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with computer applications including ArcGIS, AutoCAD, and water and sewer hydraulic calculations / modeling software (WaterGEMS, InfoWater, InfoWorks ICM, InfoSWMM)
