Position Overview :

The firm is in search of a skilled Equity Analyst, specializing in emerging markets in Latin America. This position will play a key role in conducting in-depth research and analysis to identify investment opportunities and provide actionable insights to support the Portfolio Management decisions.

Leveraging your expertise in Latin American equities, you will contribute to the development and implementation of investment strategies aimed at delivering attractive risk-adjusted returns for our clients.

Key Responsibilities :

• Conduct thorough analysis of emerging markets in Latin America, identifying macroeconomic trends, geopolitical developments, and regulatory changes that may impact investment opportunities.
• Perform detailed fundamental analysis of companies operating in Latin American emerging markets, including financial statement analysis, competitive positioning, and growth potential assessment.
• Develop and maintain complex financial models to forecast company performance, including revenue projections, margin analysis, and cash flow estimation.
• Generate actionable investment ideas based on rigorous analysis and proprietary research, presenting compelling investment theses with clear risk-reward assessments.
• Collaborate with portfolio managers and investment committee members to pitch investment recommendations and actively participate in investment decision-making processes.
• Assist in trade execution by providing timely and accurate information to traders, ensuring efficient execution of investment strategies while minimizing market impact and transaction costs.
• Implement risk mitigation strategies, such as position sizing, hedging, and portfolio diversification, to manage downside risk and protect portfolio value.
• Participate in client meetings and presentations to discuss investment rationale, portfolio positioning, and performance attribution.
• Stay abreast of developments in Latin American economies, financial markets, and industries through ongoing research, participation in industry conferences, and networking with industry professionals.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting, or a related field. Advanced degrees such as MBA or CFA designation are advantageous.
• 2-5 years of experience as an equity analyst with a focus on emerging markets in Latin America.
• Demonstrated track record of conducting in-depth fundamental analysis of companies and industries, with a proven ability to generate actionable investment ideas.
• Strong quantitative skills with proficiency in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and financial statement analysis.
• Experience building and maintaining complex financial models to forecast company performance and assess investment opportunities.
• Deep understanding of emerging markets in Latin America, including knowledge of macroeconomic trends, industry dynamics, and regulatory frameworks.
• Familiarity with key sectors and industries driving growth in Latin American economies, such as technology, consumer goods, financial services, and natural resources.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate investment theses, risks, and opportunities effectively to internal stakeholders and clients.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment, interacting with portfolio managers, research analysts, traders, and other investment professionals.
