About this role
Therapist will provide direct, gender-specific individual and group counseling, family and relationship counseling services within a day treatment format to participants in the WJP programs, with emphasis on recovery from substance abuse, role-modeling, women only groups, trauma, health and wellness, parenting and family reunification.
Therapist maintains and cultivates relationships with external agencies, such as court personnel, ancillary service providers, referring agencies, etc.
This position would require working one evening weekly to accommodate family and relationship counseling sessions.
Requirements
- A Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling Psychology or its equivalent from an accredited school.
- Knowledge and experience in individual, group and family therapy.
- Must have or be under supervision as a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor or have drug / alcohol treatment experience.
- Knowledge and experience in conducting mental health assessment, diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Must demonstrate a clinical family systems orientation, competency about motivational interviewing, stages / process of change, the elements of the stages / phases of recovery, and ability to work with diverse populations with multiplicity of problems.
- Experience working with court systems and gender-specific treatment a plus.
- Must possess a valid Driver License and satisfactory driving record and use personal automobile to travel to locations other than primary office.

This model is characterized by innovative, team-based approach and whole person care for adults and children with a range of complex mental health and substance use challenges.
Utilizing multi-disciplinary teams, staff work collaboratively to provide a coordinated effort to enhance client recovery.
Robust CCBHC services often result in better client outcomes and quality of care due to :
- Increased access to care and crisis services
- Expanded traditional community mental health and substance use services.
- Added Care Coordination and physical health screening for mental health clients
- Greater access to Social Services for clients’ economic and social needs
- Increased specialized services for veterans, those most in need, and those impacted by the opioid crisis.
