Detailed Description :

In this role you will manage municipal wastewater treatment planning, design, services during construction for a wide variety of wastewater related projects within our Salt Lake City operation.

You will be responsible for leading engineering teams to develop detailed engineering plans and specifications for wastewater treatment plants, lift stations and conveyance systems.

The project management assignments will include regular client facing opportunities as part of project reviews and workshops.

As you grow with our team and demonstrate the ability to deliver projects, you will be provided with further client management opportunities.

Typical work areas might include :

• Delegate, sequence and oversee the work of technical staff and engineers.
• Assist with and lead business development efforts including positioning, pursuits, and Client management services.
• Team leadership for delivery of conventional and advanced wastewater treatment, reuse, and resource recovery projects, including planning, detailed design, and construction services support
• Support the development of strategies for the wastewater market sector in Utah.
• Lead client service team member or assume role as client service manager
• Support BCs quality control and quality assurance process
• Lead client and internal meetings to advance project work as an effective communicator
• Prepare written reports and technical memorandums to document analyses and recommendations.
• Participate in office work groups and organizations to benefit the companys knowledge of issues and to understand client needs.

Desired Skills and Experience :

M.S. or B.S. degree in civil or environmental engineering with a minimum of 10 years of related experience in wastewater treatment and conveyance field.

Engineers with other degrees such as Chemical or Mechanical may be considered if they have strong experience in wastewater treatment.

• P.E. or ability to obtain a P.E in the state of Utah is required.
• PMP certification is a plus.
• Experience leading or supporting competitive sales efforts with municipal clients is required.
• Experience managing and delivering wastewater treatment and conveyance related planning and design projects in the role as a project manager is required.
• Familiarity with regulations driving wastewater treatment planning and permitting is required.
• Strong written communication skills and experience producing technical reports.
• Flexibility to work in other service areas such as infrastructure, stormwater, and / or potable water preferred but not required.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
