Job Title : Accounts Payable Specialist

Location : Fontana, CA

Employment Type : Direct Hire

Pay Rate : $24–$28 / hour (based on experience)

Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Fontana, CA. The ideal candidate has a strong background in accounts payable. This role is responsible for overseeing AP operations, mentoring team members, and ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.

Key Responsibilities :

Oversee the daily operations of the accounts payable team, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.

Review and approve invoices, payment batches, and expense reports for accuracy and proper coding.

Manage vendor relationships by addressing inquiries, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining vendor accounts.

Monitor and reconcile AP aging reports, ensuring timely resolution of outstanding payables.

Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, including accruals and reconciliations.

Train, mentor, and provide guidance to AP team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.

Implement and maintain process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounts payable functions.

Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including W-9s and 1099 reporting.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement and finance, to streamline workflows.

Qualifications :

3+ years of AP experience

Strong knowledge of AP processes, including invoice processing, vendor management, and reconciliations.

Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).

Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.

Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Experience with AP automation tools and process improvements is a plus.

Pay Details : $24.00 to $28.00 per hour
