Job Summary

Sentara Medical Group has an employment position available for a Nurse Practitioner with experience in Hematology / Oncology to join Sentara Hematology Oncology Specialists in Harrisonburg, VA.

Nicknamed "The Friendly City", Harrisonburg is surrounded by some of the most spectacular mountain ranges and outdoor recreation in Virginia.

It not only has been recognized as a pinnacle among mountain biking communities but also has many cultural, art, culinary, and historical attractions as well.

Only two hours from Washington, DC and minutes from George Washington National Forest and Shenandoah National Park, Harrisonburg provides year-round entertainment.

Highlights of this Position Include :

• Office located on hospital campus with hospital lab and pharmacy on site
• Head / neck / lung cancer nurse navigator, LCSW, case manager, and oncology nutritionist on site
• Genetic counselor shared with sister facility in nearby Charlottesville
• Radiation therapy on site
• 10-15 patients per day

Requirements for this position include Graduate from an accredited School for Nurse Practitioners; eligible for licensure as Nurse Practitioner in State of Virginia;

current DEA license; and, experience in Hematology / Oncology either as a licensed provider or RN cancer navigator. Candidates must have the ability to provide quality, comprehensive, continuity of medical care in a compassionate manner with minimum supervision.
