Accounting Operations Manager

country, with over 80 stores and 4 manufacturing plants in 32 states.

Started in 1995, we are a well-established organization and are looking for an Accounting Operations Manager to help maintain and grow our company.

The team is looking for an Accounting Operations Manager to help us continue to streamline and scale our Accounting operations in line with our store and plant growth.

The right candidate should be excited about change, improving processes, and managing individuals. This role will report directly to the Controller and support managing AP and AR activities.

Requirements :

• 4-year accounting degree
• Experienced in operating an accounting team with a strong emphasis in Accounts Payable management
• General understanding of GAAP and sales tax filing
• Prior experience in supervising AR and AP managers and clerks
• Skilled in reviewing and executing on-time and accurate check runs
• Cash receipt management
• Strong communication skills in vendor management
• Workflow management and process improvement
• Ability to create and maintain KPI and success metrics to measure and improve team productivity and regularly updates management with the state of accounts
• Ensuring financial compliance in AR and AP; knowledgeable in purchase orders, material item receipts and the entire cycle of Accounts Payable
• Ability to implement prioritization policies for invoice processing
• Ability to manage and maintain AP inboxes with large volume of incoming invoices
• Assist with monthly close and adhere to AP hard-close deadline
• Leverage technology and available resources to increase efficiency
• Able to work on ad-hoc accounting projects
• Willingness to take on added responsibilities as company needs arise

Soft Skills :

• Proficiency in NetSuite with knowledge of Google, Excel and Mac applications
• Strong ability to execute deadline with ability to multitask
• Self-starter, self-motivated with high drive for productive and efficiency of the team
• Reliable and trusted right-hand person to the Controller
• Capable partner to GL Accountant
• Seasoned leader with resilient adaptability and to hold the team accountable
• Highly organized and attention to detail in verifying data and record are accurate
• Strong analytical skills
• Comfort diving into issues to straighten them out
• Solid problem solving and ability to provide solutions when issues or deficiencies are identified
• Demonstrate strong emotional intelligence with the ability to work well under pressure and to maintain professionalism at all times
• Ability to articulate big picture and the vision to the team and to foster visibility and collaboration between departments
• Commitment to simplify and streamline processes and promote standardization across AR and AP departments and team members
