Payroll Accountant (Indianapolis)

Taft is seeking a Payroll Tax Accountant to support our team in Taft's Indianapolis office.

We are seeking a Payroll Tax Accountant with 2+ years of payroll experience to support our team in our Indianapolis office. Compile, reconcile, establish all tax withholding for federal, state and local jurisdictions related to all exempt and non-exempt staff partners, attorneys and employees over several company codes / locations / states. All Taft employees operate under a "Client First" philosophy - in all things, we seek to provide exceptional services to our clients.

Duties and Responsibilities :

• Confirm all tax jurisdictions are set up for all tax IDs related to the firm.
• Reconcile filings for each federal, state, and local jurisdiction with ADP, payments at the bank and the agencies.
• Ensure any discrepancy is resolved and fees and penalties are not incurred.
• Establish tracking mechanisms for all taxes paid and filing completions.
• Ensure amendments are processed with ADP timely and accurately.
• Download and store via DeskSite, all payroll and tax reports.
• Other reporting or requirements as assigned by manager or required for processing payroll.
