Associate Art Director

Job Description

The Associate Art Director is a creative who demonstrates a passion for art direction and design with well-rounded technical skills, works with the creative team to bring innovative ideas to fruition, and partners with senior creative team members to develop strategic executions through a variety physical and digital tactics.

This is a hybrid role, requiring three days in-office each week. Your team will be uniquely situated on-site at Wendy’s headquarters creating a one-of-a-kind agency / in-house mashup that allows for close collaboration with a variety of brand stakeholders.

Your Impact :

• Support larger creative team in brainstorming sessions and concept creation.
• Assist in asset creation and deliver work you are proud of.
• Use knowledge of technology, user interface and visual design fundamentals.
• Stay current on latest industry and design trends.
• Maintain high quality on creative deliverables and understand brand style guidelines
• Present work to creative leadership and client articulating the "why" behind the design
• Collaborate with production and digital production to design physical, social, and digital work
• Partner with the copywriter in concepting and bringing ideas to life through copy and design that tell a holistic story
• Help build beautiful decks that tell a compelling story about our work, our brands, and our shoppers
• Complete revision orders and assigned tasks promptly.
• Complete revision orders and assigned tasks cleanly and promptly.This account is extremely faced-paced so work must be done quickly while maintaining quality.
• Works efficiently and handles multiple projects and deadlines
• Participate in creative team meetings and work check-ins

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in fine arts or Graphic Design preferred (or strong, non-spec work and industry experience equivalent to that)
• 0-3 years of experience
• Proficient in file management and organization
• An apprentice of the craft through typography, color, and design principles
• A resume and an engaging portfolio that demonstrates both conceptual ability and art direction craft (examples of digital (mobile, web & social) and print marketing work)
• Enthusiasm, big ideas and attention for details
• Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (After effect, Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
• You are passionate about the creative world and love to stay on top of the latest trends, strategies, and technologies and how competitors within the industry are doing things

Compensation Range : ($51,000) - ($60,000). This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting.

Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
