Product Planner-PC Products

We lead customer research, portfolio strategy, product definition, and supplier alignment. You Will :
- Own the Product : Define a multiyear vision for your product category and own the product definition for one or more of our PC products (Consumer, Commercial, Workstations or Gaming); write Product Requirements Documents (PRDs), set success metrics and be accountable for the outcomes of your product; build business cases highlighting efficient market coverage that aligns to Dell's business goals and increases market share
- Build the Right System : Drive system-level decisions across CPU / GPU, memory, storage, displays and more; continuously partner with suppliers to stay ahead of market trends and shape their roadmap to align with the trade-offs you're making on your product
- Drive Decisions : Run and align cross-functional teams including engineering, procurement, and design toward a unified product vision with clear priorities; help navigate a dynamic technical landscape with rapidly evolving product requirements
- Gather Market & Customer Insight : Leverage insights from regional sales team, customer engagements and dedicated research to prioritize investment opportunities within your product; review advanced market data to help clarify the why behind customer asks
- Tell the Story : Help build the launch narrative that brings your vision to life with customers and sales; help marketing identify the key differentiators for your product that stand out from the competition
- Display Excellent Communication : Deliver concise, executive ready updates and presentations; frame options, trade-offs, and clear recommendations with data; manage sales and customer engagements to articulate your product vision and strategy to both internal and external stakeholders
- Operate like an Owner : Identify issues early, simplify where possible and make the call; when data is ambiguous, create clarity with the tools you have and move with speed
Essential Requirements
8+ years in a product planner or product manager role within related industry; must include experience as the accountable product manager for a flagship hardware productKnowledge of AI feature design including local inference and NPU utilizationUnderstanding of x86 / ARM CPU architectures, memory technology, thermal design, displays and storage devicesExceptional product sense with the proven skill to turn user insights and market teardowns / benchmarks into clear, testable requirements and bold bets within your productSkilled at articulating the vision of your product to motivate and align stakeholders and development teamsOutstanding market intelligence, cross functional collaboration and communication skillsDesirable Requirements
Knowledge of commercial PC requirements like manageability, security and serviceability or gaming / workstation requirements like thermal envelopes and high-TDP GPUsFamiliarity with the supply base for displays, batteries and silicon offers within the PC industryGlobal customer exposure across various geographies and segments of the PC marketCompensation
Dell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary range for this position is $178K - $231K.
