Licensed Engineer - Railroad Bridge Design

Job Description

As a Licensed Engineer on our Rail team, you will independently perform engineering and project management duties on small-to medium-sized projects involving railroad bridges and supporting structures, and meet client needs from conception to completion.

You will also process design calculations, assist with developing project scopes and schedules, and travel to job sites for observation.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience working on Class I Railroad Structures projects and the ability to work closely with clients.

We have one current opening and will consider candidates interested in being located out of our Omaha, NE, Lincoln, NE, Kansas City, MO, or Overland Park office locations.

You bring to the team :

  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to contribute and work well on a team.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Prior experience supporting railroad projects.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Motivated towards project execution and completion.
  • Dependable actions and honest communication in a team environment.
  • Ability to leverage software for modeling, calculation, automation, and rapid drafting.
  • Applicable experience coordinating with other railroad engineering disciplines.
  • Ideal candidate would have a survey and / or structure design background.
  • Must be a registered Professional Engineer.
  • Experience in Microstation, Risa 3D analysis, and Bluebeam Revu preferred.
