The Director of Operations is responsible for the leadership and daily operations for the Quality Plus and GOGAS Convenience / Tobacco Stores.
This position will oversee the store operations from a corporate level and will work with Regional Directors to improve and enhance all aspects of each store.
This position is expected to review daily operations, over site of inventory control, analyze profit and loss statements and work directly with the Regional Directors on training and hiring initiatives.
The Director of Operations will be a change agent for growth, development, and operations.
Daily operations :
- Manages Inventory control
- Responsible for compliance and measured through audit success
- Oversee facilities and equipment upkeep and repair
- Maintain company image through leadership and customer service
- Direct all personnel related matters, including, but not limited to :
- Recruiting
- Training
- Disciplinary actions
- Investigations
- Terminations
- Knowledge and understanding of profit and loss statements
- Enforcement, development, and revision of company policies and procedures as they relate to the division
- Effectively resolve customer issues in a timely manner
- Assist in development, implementation, and compliance with training programs at both the corporate and store level
- Troubleshoot store equipment issues, including various POS systems, gas dispensers, etc.
- Requirements
Requirements :
- 10+ years of retail operations experience is required
- Multi-site management experience is required
- Convenience store or related industry experience is preferred
- Experience with various POS systems is preferred
- Must be able to travel to store locations and be available via email / telephone at all times
- Approximately60-70% of position’s time will be in the field

- Mathematical and analytical skills, including budgeting, profit / loss concepts, percentages, variances, etc.
- Must have a valid driver’s license, clean MVR, and meet company fleet requirements
- Must be able to stand, sit, stoop, bend, twist, reach, push, pull, reach above head and below waist, and make repetitive motions for long and short periods of time as needed
- Must be able to lift 25+ pounds
- Must be able to perform any other duties assigned by Management.
