KeyResponsibilities :
- Performpsychological assessments using standardized tools and culturallyrelevant methods to evaluate students cognitive academic social andemotionalcapabilities.
- Collaboratewith educators parents and fellow professionals to craftIndividualized Education Programs (IEPs) and interventionstrategies for students with diverseneeds.
- Offer counseling and crisisintervention to students facing social emotional or behavioralhurdles integrating culturally sensitiveapproaches.
- Act as a resource forschool staff on matters related to multiculturalism diversity andbilingual education delivering training and consultation asnecessary.
- Engage inmultidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progressexchange insights and develop comprehensive supportframeworks.
- Maintain precise andconfidential records of assessment outcomes counseling sessions andintervention plans ensuring adherence to state and federalguidelines.
- Cultivate positiverelationships with students families and the wider school communityfostering an environment of inclusivity equity and mutualrespect.
Requirements
Toqualify you must possess a valid School Psychology license inIllinois and hold a Masters Degree in School or EducationalPsychology.
Additionally you should either currently hold or beeligible to apply for an endorsement in School Psychology.Proficiency in both English and Spanish is essential as assessmentsand counseling services will be conducted in both languages.
