Accounts Receivable Clerk

LaSalle Network has partnered with a premier healthcare provider in their search for an Accounts Receivable Clerk . Our client is currently seeking a detail-oriented and motivated individual to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing accounts receivable activities, including posting payments, reconciling accounts and resolving billing discrepancies. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent attention to detail and a customer-focused mindset.

Accounts Receivable Clerk Responsibilities :

• Process and post payments from insurance companies, patients and other third-party payers accurately and timely
• Reconcile accounts receivable transactions and resolve any discrepancies or issues in a prompt and efficient manner
• Follow up on outstanding claims and unpaid invoices to ensure timely resolution and maximization of revenue
• Verify insurance coverage and benefits eligibility for patients, obtaining authorizations and referrals as needed
• Respond to patient inquiries and requests regarding billing statements, payment plans and account balances in a professional and courteous manner
• Collaborate with billing and coding staff to address coding errors, claim denials and other billing-related issues
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all accounts receivable transactions and communications with patients and payers
• Adhere to established policies, procedures and regulatory requirements governing accounts receivable management and billing practices
