As a Senior Business Analyst, you'll bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams, leading the implementation of cutting-edge Power BI dashboards and data analytics solutions. Key Responsibilities
1. Requirements Management & Documentation
- Create and document detailed business requirements for Power BI reports and dashboards
- Conduct stakeholder interviews to gather functional and non-functional requirements
- Develop user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical specifications
- Maintain requirements traceability matrices and change control documentation
2. Data Analysis & Source Evaluation
Analyze new database sources feeding into Power BI & AI generated dashboardsAssess data quality, completeness, and business relevanceDocument data lineage, business rules, and transformation requirementsCollaborate with data engineers to validate data integrity and performance3. Testing & Quality Assurance
Develop comprehensive test plans for Power BI reports and data validationsExecute user acceptance testing (UAT) and coordinate testing activitiesValidate business logic, calculations, and dashboard functionalityDocument defects and work with development teams for resolution4. Business Process & Improvement
Map current state and future state business processesIdentify opportunities for process improvement and automationFacilitate workshops and requirements gathering sessionsSupport change management and user adoption activities5. Stakeholder Management
Serve as primary liaison between business users and technical teamsPresent findings and recommendations to senior leadershipFacilitate cross-functional meetings and decision-making sessionsProvide regular project updates and status reportingRequired Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, or related field5+ years of business analyst experience in data / analytics projectsStrong experience with Power BI, data visualization, and reporting toolsProven expertise in SQL, database analysis, and data validationExperience with requirements gathering, documentation, and testing methodologiesKnowledge of Agile / Scrum development processesExcellent analytical, communication, and presentation skillsPreferred :
Experience in utility / energy industryFamiliarity with JIRA, ConfluencePrevious experience with database migration or dashboard implementation projectsAdvanced Excel and data analysis skillsPerks of Working with AP Recruiters & Associates
