The Lead Technician is responsible for improving repair quality and warranty consistency throughout the Altaquip network to provide a consistently high level of service quality and technical proficiency / productivity.
The Lead Technician will achieve these requirements by supporting training and development of new technicians, standardized repair processes, processes / accountability, leading / teaching in-depth repair training for products repaired by Altaquip, and warranty repair consistency.
The Lead Technician will report to the Service Center Manager and communicate often, as a subordinate, with the Technician Training Manager.
Responsibilities
- Meet / exceed all service requirements and repair quality consistency to provide an outstanding customer experience.
- Meet / exceed all technician productivity (UPH) and cost per unit financial targets.
- Achieve required technician certification achievement (EETC, etc) through improved education and follow-up.
- Achieve increased warranty repair quality and consistency.
- Responsible for supporting the Technician Training Manager by training and mentoring lower lever techs at the service center.
- Collaborates with the Technician Training Manager to make sure all technicians are made aware of flash communications.
- Communicates with OEM’s to provide quality feedback.

Knowledge and Skills Requirements
- Excellent communicative and teaching skills.
- Vast knowledge of small gasoline engine repair and electromechanical repair required.
- Must obtain OEM service and EETC certifications.
- Ability to work in fast paced environment.
- Walks, stands, bends, squats during entire shift.
