Job description

Our client, a leader in the energy infrastructure sector, is seeking a Business Development Manager (MISO) to join their team. As a Business Development Manager (MISO), you will be part of the Strategic Growth Department supporting the Transmission and Power Development Teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strategic thinking, collaborative mindset, and proactive communication skills, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title : Business Development Manager (MISO)

Location : MISO region (IL, IA, IN, MN, MO, AR, LA )

What's the Job?

  • Conduct valuation and commercial analyses of emerging investment opportunities within the MISO region.
  • Support the development of strategic partnerships and assess potential collaboration opportunities.
  • Lead the preparation and submission of competitive bid packages, ensuring alignment with market strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to shape market strategies and influence regulatory and policy processes.
  • Monitor industry trends, transmission policies, and competitive landscape to inform strategic decisions.

What's Needed?

  • Bachelor's degree; advanced degrees such as MA or MBA preferred, with 7+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in transmission infrastructure development, policy, or the broader energy industry.
  • Proven ability to cultivate partnerships and structure complex agreements.
  • Knowledge of US power industry, transmission development, and regulatory processes including FERC and MISO.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence diverse stakeholders and prepare executive-level materials.
