Reporting to the Director of the Global Press Office, you'll serve as a frontline operator and spokesperson, helping position Walmart as a trusted global brand. This role calls for agility, quick thinking, and the ability to pivot seamlessly. You'll play an instrumental part in shaping conversations not only about the future of retail, but also about issues the world is watching closely.
You'll Make an Impact By :
- Advancing Walmart's enterprise narrative and protecting its reputation as a trusted global brand.
- Building and leveraging relationships with journalists and influencers, and responding decisively to defend the company during moments of reputational risk.
- Serving as a company spokesperson, delivering accurate and compelling messages on complex and sensitive topics.
- Acting as the first point of contact for media issues, providing guidance and shaping messaging.
- Writing, editing, and approving communications materials in collaboration with partners across the business.
- Conducting risk assessments and ensuring message consistency across all channels.
- Providing clear, timely counsel to internal partners during high-visibility situations and crises.
- Drafting recommendations for proactive media outreach and rapid response strategies.
- Supporting enterprise and business unit media plans by researching global business and societal trends.
- Monitoring media coverage and providing actionable insights to leaders and cross-functional partners.
- Representing the Corporate Affairs team within Walmart's Global Security Operations Center.

Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field, with at least 4 years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, or a relevant area.Minimum of 6 years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, or a related field in lieu of a degree.At least 1 year of supervisory experience or experience leading cross-functional teams.Preferred Qualifications :
Fluency in both written and spoken Spanish.Experience working with Spanish-language media.
