What you’ll do :
- Manage employee health and welfare benefits, including 401(k), enrollments, eligibility, HRIS maintenance, communication, reconciling of invoices, and compliance audits and testing
- Lead annual open enrollment processes by drafting communications, coordinating vendor attendance, and managing enrollment platforms
- Partner with external vendors and consultants to evaluate and optimize benefits offerings and escalate benefit inquiries as needed
- Effectively interpret, process, and administer all leave-of-absence requests and disability claims for state, federal, and company leave programs
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all basic employee inquiries and escalated benefits issues
- Proactively identify areas for process improvement, making data-driven recommendations, and contribute to People Operations ad-hoc projects
- Support key operational processes and workflows across the employee lifecycle ensuring the proper flow of employee data and system functions
Who you are :
- Backed by at least 1+ years of relevant experience in Benefits and HR Operations
- Armed with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent education
- Comfortable in Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets and eager to become a guru
- Extremely detail-oriented (you’ve never met an i you didn’t want to dot)
- An expert communicator in writing and in person (the ability to communicate professionally with external and internal folks, and with all levels of management, is paramount here!)
- Able to manage highly confidential and sensitive matters with poise and maturity
- Comfortable juggling different tasks and ensuring they are completed in a timely manner and without errors; able to quickly digest and execute new processes and identify opportunities to make improvements
- Not on the Office of Inspector General’s List of Excluded Individuals / Entities (LEIE)
