Description
Purpose & Scope :
EEG Technologist performs all EEG diagnostic procedures according to established protocols. She / he must be knowledgeable in all Department and Hospital policies relevant to the EEG Lab.
Interpretive, interactive and consultative skills are inherent in the position. The ability to retrieve, communicate and otherwise present information in a written, oral or visual fashion is essential.
Speaking, typing and telephone skills as well as manual dexterity is required for this position. She / He is responsible for scheduling patients, preparing reports and ensuring that the reports are filed in patient's record.
Education :
High school diploma is preferred.
Experience :
Two years of equivalent experience.
Certification / Licensure :
EEG registry is preferred.
BLS certification is required.
