Driver & Warehouse Associate
Job Summary : The Driver / Warehouse Associate will be responsible for ensuring the safe operation of the company’s vehicles, accurate and seamless processing of incoming and outgoing shipments.
The Driver / Warehouse Associate must load and unload shipments regularly, with the capability of repetitive heavy lifting, and use any necessary equipment, e.
g., lift truck, forklift, powered walkie etc. Other responsibilities will include the inspection of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify contents and quality, reconciling lab results with shipment lots, and with inventory management system.
The Driver / Warehouse Associate must understand the impact of this position to other business functions that depend on the accuracy and efficiency of warehouse operations.
Inventory management and vendor relations with shipping companies are essential but not core functions for this position.

Primary Responsibilities : Prepare receiving dock to accept incoming productPrepare materials for shipmentMatch incoming and outgoing shipments with purchase ordersReconcile shipments to laboratory resultsOperate a Forklift or Pallet Jack in a safe manner to move received productMaintain a safe work environmentMay lift cases of product and / or stock merchandise according to documented proceduresProcess all required paperwork and maintain adequate records for reporting and trackingPrepare daily vehicle inspection reportsPrepare daily and weekly warehouse inspection reportsOversee the secure and accurate loading and unloading of deliveriesManage inventory of shipping materials and suppliesReport discrepancies to immediate supervisorProblem solve for any cases of missing documents, shipments, and deliveriesMaintain organized work area according to policies, procedures, and safety regulationsMake deliveries with a company vehicle as assignedPerform other duties as assignedJob Qualifications : Education and Experience : High school diploma or GEDClass D driver’s license with a clean driving abstractForklift certification preferredExperience in the chemical industry preferredExperience working with and shipping dangerous goodsWorking experience in Shipping and Receiving role preferredAbility to perform repetitive heavy liftingAble to communicate both verbally and in writingBasic mathematical skillsKnowledge of filling out waybills and bills of landing and international shipmentsAbility to weigh and measure itemsWorking knowledge of safe lifting methodsDemonstrated ability to operate material handling equipment a forklift and pallet truckAble to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independentlyComputer literacy, including working skills of Excel and e-mailAttention to detail in all areas of workGood organizational, time management and prioritizing skillsStrong work ethic and positive team attitudeWorking Conditions : Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripheralsOvertime as requiredLifting or moving up to 50 lbs.
