The Opportunity
Our client is seeking a Payroll & Benefits Manager to oversee payroll operations and benefits programs for their U.S. employee population. This is a highly visible role within the HR team, ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, has a keen eye for detail, and is passionate about ensuring employees receive seamless, high-quality HR support. In addition to managing payroll and benefits, the individual will gain broad exposure to other areas of HR including compliance, systems, and employee relations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and process U.S. payroll accurately and on schedule, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Administer employee benefit programs (health, retirement, wellness, and leave policies), ensuring a positive employee experience.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee payroll and benefits inquiries, providing timely and accurate resolution.
- Partner with HR leadership and external vendors to optimize payroll and benefits processes, systems, and vendor relationships.
- Collaborate with HR colleagues on broader initiatives including compliance, compensation, HR systems, and employee engagement.
- Support annual processes such as open enrollment, benefits renewals, and year-end payroll activities.
- Ensure proper documentation, reporting, and auditing of payroll and benefits programs.
- Contribute to HR projects and initiatives that enhance the overall employee experience.
Qualifications
5–8+ years of payroll and benefits administration experience, ideally within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.Strong understanding of U.S. payroll practices, compliance, and regulations.Hands-on experience with HRIS and payroll systems.Workday experience a must.Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a service-oriented mindset.Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.Experience working in financial services or technology environments a plus, but not required.Why Join
