Job description

Could This Be For You?

Under general supervision, provide customer service support to internal customers (production team) and external customers (clinicians). Typical responsibilities include internal fabrication support, clarify orders to ensure accuracy, enter work orders generated from mail, emails, phone calls and drop-offs. Perform as back-up to frontline interactive team for customer interactions demonstrating ability to assess, stabilize and redirect customer inquiries.

  • This is not a remote position.

Hours : 8 : 30 am - 5 pm or 2 : 15 pm - 10 : 45 pm (Monday-Friday)

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions) :

Specific functions may vary dependent upon departmental need, examples of essential functions are :

  • Responsible for answering telephones, respond to emails and entering work orders as appropriate.
  • Receive and screen incoming calls, answer questions, research and resolve problems, and direct calls to appropriate person if necessary.
  • Review, screen, and prioritize all correspondence (mail, emails and dropped off items) to ensure proper completion.
  • Focus on customer retention and growth by making the interactions easy and desirable to work with us.
  • Build and manage relationships with both internal (production team) and external customers (clinicians).
  • Enter data from source documents to office computer systems.
  • May participate in the development of work deadlines; inform staff members of current developments within the department and arrange for them to follow through on commitments made by supervisor.
  • Compile materials using various data sources, which may involve research and include highly confidential and sensitive information.
  • Handle requests and / or assignments that require knowledge of relevant policies and procedures.
  • Assist with training new processes and providing quality feedback as necessary.
  • Perform other duties or special projects as assigned.
  • Knowledge and Skill :

  • Demonstrate job skills, knowledge of company policies and procedures to complete advanced tasks.
  • Experience with Word and Excel
  • Solid data entry skills with accuracy
  • Team player that supports the company goals to meet / exceed all service level metrics
  • Demonstrated knowledge of medical / industry terminology
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail oriented and high level of accuracy to meet the deadlines
  • Experience with information systems needed for the area; Raven, Epicor and other systems
  • Job Complexity :

    Works on assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgment in resolving issues or in making recommendations.

    Supervision Received and Exercised :

    Normally receives little instruction on daily work, general instructions on newly introduced assignments.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Experience and Education :

    Typically requires a minimum of 4 years of related experience.

    Minimum

    High school diploma or equivalent required

    Preferred

    Experience in a medical industry in O&P setting

The employee will be responsible for maintaining a safe, clean and orderly work environment. The employee may be exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

    Some travel via automobile, airplane and other public transportation may be required. The employee must have, or be eligible to obtain, a valid driver's license and driving record within the standards outlined within Hanger's Motor Vehicle Safety Policy and Procedures.
