POSITION SUMMARY
The pharmacy technician is to service the needs of our patients by educating them on products and services’, listening to concerns / addressing issues, processing orders for pharmacy customers.
ESSENTIAL TASKS
- Ability to answer hi-volume in-bound calls via an automated phone system.
- Ability to make outbound calls to patients and referrals as necessary.
- Respond quickly and professionally to customer telephone questions and concerns.
- Gather Patient demographics and billing information as needed to complete requested orders.
- Process orders using Enterprise Rx.
- Resolve insurance denials with insurance companies. Follow-up with patient.
- Maintain customer records by updating account.
- Establish and maintain patient profiles, including lists of medications taken by individual patients.
- Order, label, and count stock of medications, chemicals, and supplies, and enter inventory data into computer.
- Receive and store incoming supplies, verify quantities against invoices, and inform supervisors of stock needs and shortages.
- Counting, pouring, measuring and weighing tablets and medications, mixing medications.
- Any other tasks assigned by supervisor or manager.
- Must possess excellent communication skills and the ability to practice proper phone etiquette.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Outlook.
- Provide feedback to Group Team Lead regarding issues with accounts.
- Conducts routine tasks as directed; works under clearly defined guidelines
- Contributes to specific objectives and outcomes as directed.
QUALIFICATIONS
Basic skills with moderate level of proficiency. Consults with senior peers on non-complex projects.
1-2 years pharmacy technician experience
National license pharmacy technician, State licensed pharmacy technician
High School Diploma
