Job Overview
We're looking for a detail-oriented and driven Accountant to join our team. This role is unique because it starts with an intensive learning phase, allowing you to master our accounting systems and processes, and then quickly transitions into a leadership position. You'll be responsible for overseeing our Trust Accounting, Compliance, and Risk Management. The ideal candidate has a solid accounting background, thrives in a fast-paced setting, and wants to help build a stronger financial foundation as we grow.
Key Responsibilities
- Learn and operate our core accounting systems, including QuickBooks.
- Assist with daily reconciliations of accounts receivable (AR), accounts payable (AP), and trust accounts.
- Support compliance checks and reporting activities.
- Gain a deep understanding of our financial workflows and company-specific processes.
- Lead all aspects of Trust Accounting, ensuring accuracy and timely reconciliations.
- Manage our compliance functions, including internal audits and adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Oversee risk management within the accounting function by identifying vulnerabilities and strengthening controls.
- Prepare and deliver periodic financial reports related to trust balances, compliance, and risk.
- Partner with leadership to support revenue recognition and ensure financial integrity.
Required Qualifications
Education : Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA or progress toward one is preferred.Experience : 3–5 years of accounting experience, with a strong preference for candidates with trust accounting or compliance experience.Technical Skills : Proficiency with QuickBooks and other financial reporting tools.Knowledge : Strong understanding of accounting principles, compliance frameworks, and internal controls.Analytical Skills : Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Communication : Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with other departments.Key Skills & Attributes
