Social Media Manager (Instagram Focus) | The Points Guy

The Points Guy is seeking an experienced Social Media Manager with a strong focus on organic Instagram feed content to join our team. This role is designed to elevate our brand through captivating visual storytelling and engaging organic content, working collaboratively across departments to develop Instagram strategies that resonate with our audience and reflect our brand identity.

What You'll Do:

• Strategy & Campaign Management: Design and manage organic content strategies specifically for the Instagram feed, ensuring all content aligns with our brand identity and engages our target audience.Develop strategies based on key business objectives and industry trends; translate insights into actionable content plans tailored for Instagram.Demonstrate thought leadership by introducing innovative content ideas and testing strategies for organic growth on Instagram.Prepare and deliver presentations to internal stakeholders focused on Instagram content strategies and performance.Maintain comprehensive knowledge of Instagram's evolving features, trends, and best practices to enhance our organic reach.Play a key role in the production and strategy of visual content, including static posts, carousels, reels and stories, incorporating creative on-camera
  appearances as needed.Oversee project management for organic content on Instagram, ensuring consistency and quality across all posts.Analyze and report on the performance of our Instagram content, tracking key metrics to optimize our efforts and drive continuous improvement.
• Collaboration & Cross-Functional Work: Act as a liaison with the Social Media, Creative, and Editorial teams to craft Instagram content that aligns with our brand goals and audience interests.Serve as a strategic bridge between content creation and overarching social media strategy, working closely with the Editorial team.Collaborate with the Creative and Editorial teams on developing cohesive Instagram campaigns that enhance audience engagement and brand loyalty.Assist with the creation of content calendars and work with internal teams on relevant materials from strategy sessions to post-campaign analyses.

What We're Looking For:

• At least 5 years of experience in a social media role, with at least 2 years specifically focused on organic Instagram content.
• Strong focus and experience in managing and developing engaging organic content for Instagram.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to track content performance, draw insights from data, and make data-driven decisions.
• Experience in creating visually appealing, high-quality content specifically for Instagram.
• Ability to build and maintain a strong online community and engage with our audience authentically.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Creative thinking for developing innovative ideas and storytelling techniques for Instagram.
• A love of travel and a deep knowledge of points and miles (P&M) or a serious interest in learning quickly.
• Experience or willingness to work with sponsored content while maintaining the integrity of our organic strategy.

Compensation

• USA Compensation Range: $55,000-$85,000 New York City Compensation Range: $55,000-$105,000 *Note actual compensation is based on geographic location, qualifications, and experience.
