Chinese interpreter
Job Summary :
We are seeking a skilled Interpreter to join our team. As an Interpreter, you will be responsible for facilitating communication between individuals who speak different languages or use sign language.
Your role will be crucial in ensuring effective and accurate communication in various settings.
Duties :
Interpret spoken language or sign language to facilitate communication between individuals - Translate written documents from one language to another - Provide simultaneous or consecutive interpretation during meetings, conferences, or other events - Maintain confidentiality and impartiality while interpreting - Adapt interpretation style and tone to match the cultural context and preferences of the individuals involved - Clarify any misunderstandings or ambiguities that may arise during the interpretation process - Stay updated on industry-specific terminology and trends to ensure accurate interpretation Experience : - Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and / or fluency in multiple languages - Strong linguistic and communication skills - Ability to interpret accurately and quickly in various settings - Knowledge of cultural nuances and sensitivity when working with diverse populations - Experience in interpreting for medical, legal, educational, or community settings is preferred - Familiarity with interpretation equipment and software is a plus If you are a skilled Interpreter with excellent language proficiency and a passion for facilitating effective communication, we encourage you to apply.
