Scope of Position

The Program Director, Cardiovascular Services, oversees the successful implementation of clinical, quality and safety processes, prevention and wellness services provided on behalf of OSUWMC in conjunction with outside hospital and community partners.

The individual is responsible for managing the relationship between OSUWMC and a dedicated health system partner, a not-for-profit health system with 2 Ambulatory hospitals, 3200+ providers and staff and more than 11,000 annual inpatient admissions.

The Program Director will facilitate the successful alignment of services provided by both partners, will ensure successful program outcomes, and will lead the strategic creation of new programs to support the relationship and all stakeholders.

The position will report directly to OSUWMC Heart & Vascular Center (HVC) leadership and will be accountable for performance to partner stakeholders.

Position Summary

The Program Director, Cardiovascular Services, will serve as the primary point of contact and responsible party for ensuring the successful relationship between OSUWMC and the dedicated health system partner.

The Program Director will be physically located onsite at the partner health system location in Northwest Ohio approximately 75% of the time.

Successful relationship management includes the creation of a partnership scorecard, aligning all stakeholders and service providers to the achievement of scorecard goals, and establishing regular communication frameworks to promote continuous high performance and improvement of all programs.

The individual will also align all current clinical, health and wellbeing programs offered on the partner’s campus with current and future OSUWMC programs, and lead the strategic design and implementation of new programs and services to be offered to partner stakeholders.

In supporting the development, implementation and successful maintenance of the CV services provided onsite at the partner health system, the Program Director will also be responsible (in collaboration with partner health system leadership) for ensuring safety and quality of services provided.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor Degree required; Master’s degree in public health, health administration, business or related field or equivalent combination of experience and education.

6 years of relevant work experience

Relevant experience in the development and management of cardiovascular services in a hospital or health system setting.
